Signature of Contract between Quality Beverages Ltd and the Mauritius Sports Council
The Mauritius Sports Council signed a Contract with the Quality Beverages Limited on Thursday 22nd
July 2021 at the Conference Room of the Phoenix Gymnasium at 10 00 hours in the presence of:
• Mrs. Sarah RAWAT CURRIMJEE – Chairperson of the Mauritius Sports Council • Mr. Sarvankumarsingh RAMSURRUN – Assistant Manager Financial Operation of the Mauritius Sports Council • Mrs. Karishma GOPY – Marketing Manager of the Quality Beverages Limited • Ms. Mishta BISSONAUTH – Marketing Executive of the Quality Beverages Limited • Board members of the MSC • Program Head and Program Officer of Active Mauritius • Members of Government Information System • Members of Press • Supporting staff of Mauritius Sports Council
Mrs. Karishma GOPY expressed her pride for sponsoring the Mauritius Sports Council in its different activities since year 2017. She added further that the Quality Beverages Limited has been in a continuous success to the Sports section and is continuously integrated in the Programs offered by the Mauritius Sports Council under the Brand, Active Mauritius. “Natation Scolaire” and “Nager C’est Vital” are swimming
activities both sponsored by the QBL since their beginning . The last two “Jeux Des Iles de l’Océan Indien” were sponsored by QBL. She also mentioned that QBL will sponsor the “Horizon Paris 2024”. She gave her salutation to the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation and the Mauritius Sports Council for their continuous success. Mrs. Karishma GOPY encourages youngsters to practice physical activities.
Mrs. Sarah RAWAT CURRIMJEE welcomed the members and highlighted on the different Programs run by the Mauritius Sports Council. Despite economic barriers caused by the pandemic of Covid-19, the Council still have the support of Sponsors. She highlighted the audience on the Learn to Swim program. Since the last 6 years, “Natation Scolaire” has been a success in close collaboration of the Ministry of
Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Recreation whereby same conducted in all the schools of Republic of Mauritius. The aim of “Natation Scolaire” Program is to encourage a maximum number of pupils to swim and to learn water safety. She also mentioned that without the support and collaboration of our Sponsors, the programs would not have been a success. She added that Quality Beverages Limited also sponsored other activities run under the Mauritius Sports Council such as After School Sports and Fitness Program. Goodies, such as swimming bags, Caps and water bottles are given to participants of “Natation Scolaire” and “Nager C’est Vital”. The ceremony ended at 10 30 hours with a thanking note by the Chairperson of the Mauritius Sports Council along with a Family Picture.
